Over a 15-year tenure, Raman served as Commercial Head for the Decorative Paints division, managing annual outlays exceeding ₹1,000 Crore across marketing, retailing, services, and business innovation. He led nationwide commercial operations across 110 locations, restructured logistics and distribution infrastructure, and drove cost optimisation programmes that delivered sizeable savings. He also established several industry-first initiatives, including channel financing and integrated marketing warehousing.

At Pidilite, Raman managed the financial architecture for the company's domestic and international subsidiaries, overseeing financial planning and control across multiple geographies.
